Do you repair older Viking ranges (VGR, VDR, VGIC models)?
Yes. The older open-burner and sealed-burner Vikings are some of the most repairable ranges made, and parts are still available for most of them. We service igniters, valves, elements, thermostats, hinges and gaskets on all of them.
My Viking oven takes forever to light or won’t light — what is it?
On gas Viking ovens the hot-surface igniter weakens with age and opens the gas valve late or not at all; that is the single most common Viking repair we do. It is a one-visit job on nearly every model.
The Viking burner keeps clicking — can it be fixed?
Yes. Clicking with no flame is a wet, cracked or dirty igniter electrode, a mis-seated burner cap or a failing spark module; clicking that never stops after lighting is usually a shorted igniter or a moisture problem in the switch. Stop using the burner and call us if gas is flowing.
Do you offer same-day Viking range repair?
Yes. Call before noon and we can reach most Northern Virginia and DC addresses the same day. We are open 5 AM – 10 PM, seven days a week.

Almost always. Vikings are heavy, simple and well built; an igniter, element, thermostat or hinge repair on a 15-year-old range is a small fraction of a $6,000–$15,000 replacement. We give you an honest repair-versus-replace number before any work starts.

The hot-surface igniter on gas Viking ovens is the most common failure. When it can’t draw enough current the gas valve never opens, or opens late with a whump. We replace the igniter and check the valve in one visit.
Burner Clicks but Won’t Light
A cracked or wet igniter electrode, a dirty or mis-seated burner cap, or a failing spark module. On open-burner Vikings, grease in the igniter well is a frequent cause. We clean, test and replace only what has failed.
Oven Temperature Wrong or Uneven
A drifting thermostat or sensor, a weak bake igniter, or a convection fan that has slowed throws Viking ovens off. We test with a calibrated probe and fix the cause rather than re-offsetting the dial.
Convection Fan Stopped or Noisy
Viking convection motors sit behind the rear oven panel; rattling means a loose or bent blade, silence means the motor or its relay. Both are straightforward repairs.
Door Drops, Won’t Close or Leaks Heat
Heavy Viking doors wear their hinges and springs; a door that sags or won’t close flush leaks heat and cooks unevenly. Hinges, springs and gaskets are replaceable, and we align the door when we are done.
Knobs, Bezels and Valve Stems
Older Vikings wear out knob stems, bezels and burner valves; a knob that spins freely or a valve that is hard to turn is a valve-stem or valve repair, not a reason to replace the range.
