Yes. Dual-fuel Dacor ranges — gas cooktop over an electric convection oven — are the most common model we service. Oven problems are usually the bake or broil element, the convection element or the control relay board; cooktop problems are almost always igniters or the spark module.
My Dacor oven takes forever to preheat or bakes unevenly — what is it?
On electric ovens a weak bake element or a drifting temperature sensor; on gas ovens a tired igniter that opens the valve late. Both are single-visit repairs on most Dacor models, and we calibrate the oven before we leave.
The Dacor control panel is dead or shows an error code — can it be fixed?
Usually. Dacor displays and control boards are serviceable parts, and many “dead panel” calls are a failed relay board or a loose ribbon connection rather than the display itself. Have the model number and the code ready when you call.
Do you offer same-day Dacor range repair?
Yes. Call before noon and we can reach most Northern Virginia and DC addresses the same day. We are open 5 AM – 10 PM, seven days a week.
Is my Dacor range worth repairing?
Almost always. A Dacor range is a $5,000–$15,000 appliance built into cabinetry; for units under 15 years old, a board, igniter or element repair is a fraction of replacement. We give you an honest repair-versus-replace number before any work starts.

Electric Dacor ovens rely on a bake element, broil element and a relay board; gas models on a hot-surface igniter. A weak igniter that draws too little current, a burned-out element or a stuck relay are the usual causes. We test each and replace only the failed part.
Burner Clicks but Won’t Light
Endless clicking means the spark module is firing but a burner isn’t catching. A wet or cracked igniter, a mis-seated burner cap or a failing spark module are the causes. Stop using the burner and call us — unburned gas around a clicking igniter is not something to wait on.
Uneven Baking or Wrong Temperature
A drifting oven temperature sensor, a convection fan that has slowed, or a failed convection element throws Dacor ovens 25–50° off. We test with a calibrated probe and correct the cause rather than just re-offsetting the thermostat.
Convection Fan Noisy or Stopped
Dacor’s Pure Convection fan runs on a small motor behind the rear panel. Rattling means the fan blade is loose or bent; silence with a cold rear of the oven means the motor or its relay has failed. Both are straightforward repairs.
Control Panel Dead or Error Codes
A dark or flickering display, buttons that don’t respond, or codes like F1/F3 usually trace to the relay board, the user-interface board or a connection between them. Dacor boards are serviceable and we stock the common ones for current models.
Self-Clean Locked the Door
Self-clean cycles run the oven to 900°F and often trip the thermal fuse or damage the door lock motor on older Dacor ranges. If the door stays locked after the cycle, do not force it — we replace the fuse or lock assembly and get the oven running again.
